News Headlines - Henley

Henley roll over Radlett
5/22/2010 - A hot sunny day and a belter of a track were the perfect backdrop for an entertaining day's cricket that saw Henley get their 2010 title challenge in Division 1 of the Home Counties Premier League under way, chalking up their first victory of the season against Radlett, in the end, quite easily as the visitors, perhaps short of two or three key players, wilted under the heat and remorseless pace and bounce generated by Tom Lambert who returned figures of 6 - 27.

Henley Hit Double Top!!!!!!!
9/6/2009 - Henley are Division 1 Home Counties Premier League Champions!
Having led Division1 throughout the entire season, it was entirely fitting that they should close out the Championship with a hard earned but satisfying victory in front of a jubilant home crowd against the outgoing champions High Wycombe. Banbury’s home defeat to Tring Park meant that Henley finished their 2009 campaign an emphatic 35 points ahead of their nearest rivals.

Henley crowned HCPCL champions
9/5/2009 - After waiting five years for the trophy to return to the Brakspear Ground, captain Bjorn Mordt wants to see “an extra 10 per cent” from his players next season to assure their status as the team to beat. Needing seven points to clinch the title, Henley strode on past the target to beat outgoing champions High Wycombe by two wickets and secure the twenty five points.

Middlesex capture Henley's Udal
12/6/2007 - Unfortunately, Shaun Udal will not, after all, be playing for Henley CC in season 2008. Henley's chairman, Paul Bradbury: "A short while ago Shaun contacted me to let me know that he had been offered an excellent two year contract by Middlesex County Cricket Club."

Ellison off to Adelaide on coaching scholarship
10/14/2007 - Henley's head coach, Chris Ellison, heads off for two weeks to Adelaide, Australia following selection for a cricket coaching scholarship.
