News Headlines - Reading

Reading dispose of Falkland and wait
9/5/2009 - With Aston Rowant forfeiting the points from their match with Basingstoke and Gerrards Cross failing against neighbours Beaconsfield, Reading hold their nerve to win against Falkland and thereby take top spot in 2W pending an appeal from Aston Rowant.

Housego dominant for Reading
5/30/2009 - Opening the batting, Danny Housego batted through the Reading innings of 57 overs, for an unbeaten 152 in 180 balls with 21x4's and 2x6's.

Teenager Shelvin in sparkling form
4/30/2009 - Reading Cricket Club are putting their future in youth as they look to bounce back after being relegated from Division 1. Several teenagers were in their team which beat the Middlesex Academy by four runs in a friendly game at Sonning Lane on Sunday. The pick of them was 17-year-old Shelvin Gumbs, who produced an impressive innings of 82.

Reading too strong as Mymms struggle again
6/26/2005 - Following an upturn of a win at Falkland and a fighting draw at home to Oxford, North Mymms were firmly dealt with uncompromisingly and efficiently by Reading as Adrian Greyvenstein an Mike O'Sullivan share 8 wickets.

Reading denied by Finch last pair
6/14/2005 - Reading dominated the local derby with Finchampstead. Their total of 274 for 5 was never in danger but their bowlers found stiff resistance from the Finchampstead lower order who denied them a victory.
